Department

Education and Vocational Training

We are committed to fostering inclusive, equitable, and quality education that empowers every child to reach their full potential. Our vision is to ensure that every learner in Samburu has access to a conducive learning environment, skilled teachers, and the resources necessary to thrive in a fast-changing world.

Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)

The Samburu County Government prioritizes Early Childhood Development as the foundation for lifelong learning. We have established numerous ECDE centers across the county to ensure that young learners have access to nurturing environments where their social, cognitive, and emotional needs are met.

School Feeding Program

To address challenges faced by learners in arid and semi-arid areas, Samburu County has partnered with various organizations to implement a school feeding program. This initiative ensures that students are motivated to attend school regularly, improving both attendance and academic performance.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

The department is committed to empowering the youth through vocational training and skills development. Our TVET centers offer courses in fields like carpentry, tailoring, mechanics, and agriculture, equipping young people with practical skills that enhance employability and entrepreneurship.
